Meet alex!

Alex (he/him) took his first dance class at the age of 5 at Cos Master Studio in Vallirana, his hometown in Barcelona, Spain, where he danced throughout his childhood with the unconditional support of his family.

Later on, Alex obtained his BFA in Musical Theatre at Coco Comin School of Performing Arts in Barcelona. He also he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at University of Barcelona and served as a representative for the youth in his hometown for four years.

In 2019, Alex moved to NYC where he completed Broadway Dance Center’s Professional Semester program, focusing on Musical Theatre and training in other styles including Jazz, Tap, Latin, Commercial Dance and Contemporary. 

As a musical theater performer, Alex was most recently seen as Bernardo in Gulf Coast Symphony’s concert of West Side Story and last season in White Christmas at the Tony Award-winning theatre Papermill Playhouse and On Your Feet! at Riverside Theatre. Additionally, Llorca is an active member and social media coordinator for the organization R.Evolución Latina, led by Luis Salgado.

Llorca has sailed with Norwegian Cruise Line and Oceania Cruises, performing in and dance captaining shows such as Footloose The Musical, and he recently served as a creative consultant and Associate Choreographer for the production shows Fusión and Hello Again, choreographed by Ashlé Dawson.

I aim to bring passion, truth and life to every role I perform so that the audience can engage, learn and grow with me. We are all changed for the better when we connect through art.

I am a versatile dancer who loves Jazz, Musical Theatre, Latin Dance, Commercial Dance, Tap, Ball Room,  Contemporary, Partnering, Hip Hop and any style that makes me feel alive.

I value respect, connection, nurturing relationships, honesty, empathy, acceptance, positivity, keeping commitments and loving even when it’s hard. Always do good for others.

my favorite things

I love to travel, spend quality time with my family and friends, read thrillers and mystery books, eat peanut butter, play with my dogs, learn new languages and hike THROUGH the greenery.

In Spain, Alex has performed on the most renowned stages in Barcelona, dancing in shows including Festa dels Supers (Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium, Sant Jordi Club Stadium, Cap Roig Festival), Carousel (Grec Theatre), Moustache: The Rhythm Musical (Apolo Theatre), Musicals Night Show: Swing Broadway (Grec Theatre) and Catalunya Aixeca el Teló (Gran Teatre del Liceu Opera House). 

Television credits as a dancer include Mira lo que has hecho (Spanish TV series) and a Hyundai Santa Fe TV Commercial.

As a dance teacher, Alex has worked at The AMG Academy of Performing Arts, House of Jack and Dance Base in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, and at Coco Comin School for Performing Arts and Sonia Navarro Dance School in Barcelona, Spain.
